MSD and UNODC sign a partnership and funding agreement

MSD represented by its General Manager, Mr. MoazZa’tari and UNODC represented by Mr. FrodeMauring signed a partnership and funding agreement on 17/03/2014, to implement the third phase of the project of “Provision of HIV prevention and care services through community outreach and drop in center model to people who use drugs in the West Bank and East Jerusalem” with a duration of 22 months. The implementation of the project started since the year 2010 and will continue till 15/01/2014; as the project aims at targeting DUs in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, decreasing the number of users in Jerusalem and the West Bank, preventing the spread of blood borne diseases between East Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank areas and harm reduction through a center that provides social and psychological treatment for users and raises the awareness of DUs and other members of the society; in addition to conducting preventive and field visits and creating support groups of former drug users. This agreement comes as a continuation of the successes of MSD achieved throughout the previous phases of the project.
