Jordan has warned the Israeli occupation about applying the Absentee Property Law in the occupied Jerusalem. The Jordanian minister of media and communication Nabil AL-Sharif said that his country condemns such measures and any other Israeli measures that aims to change the Jerusalemite character or displacing the residents of Jerusalem. He also added in a press conference that this measure is a grave violation of the International Law and all its principals, which provides that Jerusalem is an occupied Palestinian city and its character should not be changed in any possible manner. The so called, “legal consultant” of the Israeli government Yihuda Fineshtien informed the Supreme Court of his recognition of applying the Absentee Property Law on the abandoned property in Jerusalem.
